Japanese researchers have found that people who suffer from chronically itchy skin can also have a higher risk of developing anxiety, depression, and stress. In their study, investigators looked at data on more than 2,200 adults, many of whom had skin conditions such as severe acne, eczema, psoriasis, and the severe itching condition known as pruritis. The researchers found that those who had itchy skin were more likely to report psychological symptoms of stress than those whose skin did not itch. Read full story >
